Our client is looking for a Business Analyst who will act as a vital conduit between the Model Risk Management business stakeholders, and technology teams.

The BA will be responsible for translating high-level business needs into detailed requirements, ensuring the resulting platform is robust, scalable, and compliant with all regulatory standards — including Model Risk Management governance frameworks, model validation workflows, and SR 11-7 / SS1/23 regulatory guidance .

The candidate must have

- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a Model Risk Management, model validation, or familiarity with quantitative risk function in MRM
- Strong understanding of model risk management principles , including model development, independent validation, model tiering, and ongoing monitoring in accordance with regulatory expectations (SR 11-7, SS1/23, or equivalent).
- Experience with large-scale data migration projects, including data analysis, mapping,



and validation — ideally involving model inventory or risk data.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) , with a proven ability to write transparent and effective Epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex MRM governance requirements into detailed technical platform specifications.
- Experience in Reviewing test cases and supporting the quality assurance process
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and manage stakeholders across model risk, technology, audit, and senior leadership levels.

This is a contract position and work type is hybrid (3 days on side). Location is Greater Toronto Area.
