We are hiring a Business Applications Support Analyst to be the front line of support for the business application estate that runs Byng. Oracle NetSuite (OneWorld) is our core system of record and will be the largest part of your world — but this is a broader role than a NetSuite administrator. You will support the connected portfolio of business applications around the ERP, along with the integrations and low-code automations that tie them together.
You will join as we are implementing NetSuite, get deep into the system while it is still being stabilized, and own day-to-day application support as the platform becomes the operational heart of the business. This is not a ticket-shuffling role. Within your first few months you will be supporting a live production ERP through its stabilization period, building the reports the business runs on, and shaping the support practices we scale with.
The nature of our estate means the interesting problems are often the ones that cross boundaries: an approval that did not appear, a record that did not sync, a scheduled job that failed quietly. Working out which system in the chain actually broke — and getting it fixed or escalated to the right owner — is the core skill this role is built around.
Specific Accountabilities
Application Support & Triage
- Own the first and second line of support across the application portfolio — triage incidents, resolve what you can, and escalate what you can't with a clear, well-evidenced handover.
- Diagnose issues that span multiple systems: determine whether a failure sits in the ERP, an integration, a connected application, or the source data, and drive it to resolution.
- Build and maintain the support knowledge base and track recurring issues into permanent fixes rather than repeat workarounds.
User & Access Administration
- Administer users, roles, and permissions across NetSuite and connected applications, with attention to segregation of duties.
- Run periodic access reviews across the application estate and keep the audit trail clean.
Reporting & Analytics
- Build and maintain saved searches,
SuiteQL queries, dashboards, and scheduled reports in NetSuite, plus reporting in connected applications.
- When the business asks a question of the data, you are the person who gets the answer out of the systems.
Integrations & Automations
- Monitor integration health and scheduled jobs; investigate failures, reprocess or reconcile data, and coordinate fixes with solution architecture or vendors.
- Support and make minor enhancements to low-code automations (Power Automate flows, Power Apps, SharePoint tooling) used across the business.
- Read and interpret API payloads and logs well enough to identify where in a chain a failure occurred.
Configuration & Change
- Deliver configuration changes within agreed guardrails — forms, fields, saved searches, workflows, roles, and simple automation.
- Follow the defined environment promotion and change control process for anything moving toward production.
Testing & Release Support
- Execute test cases, log and track defects, and run regression checks ahead of NetSuite releases, connected application updates, and configuration changes.
Data Integrity
- Maintain data integrity within the applications you support — investigating and correcting transactional and configuration data issues, and identifying where data quality problems originate.
- Escalate systemic master data issues into our data governance process rather than resolving them locally, so root causes are fixed at the standard rather than patched at the record.
Documentation & Enablement
- Produce quick reference guides and user documentation across the application estate.
- Support onboarding and training for new users across office, warehouse, and field teams.
Go-Live Hypercare
- Be front and centre during go-live stabilization: rapid triage, explicit communication, and disciplined feedback of recurring issues into the backlog.
Qualifications Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- NetSuite certifications (e.g., SuiteFoundation, Administrator) are highly desirable but not required.
- Microsoft Power Platform certification (e.g., PL-100, PL-200) is an asset.
Experience
- 3–6 years in business application support or administration, including meaningful hands-on NetSuite experience.
- Experience supporting a portfolio of connected business applications — not a single system in isolation — and comfort being the person who works out where in the chain something broke.
- Confidence building saved searches and reports; proficiency with SuiteQL or SQL is a strong asset.
- Practical exposure to API-based integrations: you can read a REST payload, interpret an error log, and reason about what a failure means for the data on both sides.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and SharePoint is a strong asset.
- Ability to read — not necessarily write — scripted customization (SuiteScript, JavaScript) when troubleshooting.
- Experience with NetSuite OneWorld or other multi-subsidiary environments is an asset.
- A working understanding of core business processes — order-to-cash, procure-to-pay — and ideally field service or project-based workflows.
- Experience in construction, field services, or project-based industries is an asset.
- Eligible to work in Canada and able to travel to the United States as required.
Location: Main Office — Vaughan, Greater Toronto Area, Ontario (Hybrid) Geographic Scope: North America (Canada and the United States)
Travel: Occasional travel across Canada and the United States
Reports To: Director of IT Services
