Job Summary:

Responsible for safely moving new vehicles from the train unloading area to designated storage or secondary yards using company shuttle vehicles.

The Car

Jockey ensures vehicles are handled carefully, accurately positioned, and processed efficiently while following all safety and yard procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive and move new vehicles from the train unloading area to designated yards or storage locations.

- Shuttle vehicles between different yards as required.

- Perform basic vehicle inspections for visible damage before and after movement.

- Follow assigned routes, parking locations, and yard instructions.

- Accurately park vehicles in designated bays and maintain proper vehicle spacing.

- Operate vehicles safely in busy yard and rail-terminal environments.

- Report any vehicle damage, safety hazards, or operational issues immediately.

- Ensure vehicle keys and paperwork are handled and secured properly.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

- Follow all company, customer, rail-yard, and workplace safety procedures.





- Work efficiently to support daily vehicle volume and yard operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

- Ability to safely operate different makes and models of current vehicles.

- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong awareness of vehicle and pedestrian safety.

- Previous experience in vehicle yards, transportation, logistics, or rail operations is an asset.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.

- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

- Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the shift.

- Ability to perform repetitive vehicle movements throughout the workday.

Pay: $16.60-$30.59 per hour
