Looking for experienced carpenter to join our team.

Our work is located in Saugeen Shores and Southampton and consists of new builds, additions, general remodeling, full bathroom renovations, recent decks, basements, and all professional renovation techniques that go along with these projects. This position's tasks include measuring and cutting, general labour, installation and alteration of building materials, exterior and interior finishes in residential homes. Must supply own transportation, tool belt, CSA approved footwear/ eye wear, work pants and small tools. (tape measure, pencil, speed square, hammer, chalk line, impact drill)

What to expect:

-we are a "small crew" type of business, we focus on 1-2 jobs at a time. This means there is a wide array of tasks that we all participate in. All the way from demo to finishing of projects.

-pay expectations can be calculated at 35 - 40 hour per week + vacation pay.

-pay will be based on experience as an employee (I.e. showing initiative, attendance, understanding of tasks at hand, paying attention to instructions, attention to detail with completion of tasks and understanding of the building process).

-there is a 1 month probationary period, at the end of which an appropriate wage adjustment from the starting agreed wage will be made or a termination will be made.

-we work steady and are meticulous with our tasks at hand. Do not expect to be moving through tasks quickly. Things like keeping your work space tidy,



not leaving behind garbage, and respecting homeowners property and belongings is something we pay close attention to.

At the end of the day we are working in people's homes. It is important to show respect in all areas of our presence. This includes but is not limited to:

-Dressing respectfully - (shirts, hats, and sweaters provided but pants and boots something you need to bring. Do not wear sweat pants and/or clunky muddy boots).

-Language at a respectful volume and demeaner. (Don't be swearing and yelling in people's homes).

-Agitation - (we all get frustrated, be an adult about it. Arguing and temper tantrums are 100 percent not tolerated).

-Hygiene - we are working in close quarters with each other and homeowners. Brush your teeth, shower, no belching around the nice retired couple who just hired us to install their kitchen.
