Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier and Kitchen Assistant to join the Owner (Chef) to operate our Foodtruck. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring a clean and organized workspace, and assisting with food preparation. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have a knack for customer service.

Duties

- Assist in the preparation of food items according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Support chef by providing necessary ingredients and tools during meal preparation.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Conduct product demos to showcase new items or specials to customers.
- Handle cashier duties as needed, ensuring accurate transactions and providing excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering inquiries.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during busy periods.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications





- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Familiarity with retail sales techniques and upselling strategies is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of cashiering procedures is beneficial.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively within the kitchen environment.
- Technical sales experience can be an asset when discussing products with customers.
