Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and interpersonal skills, as you will assist with various dental procedures, manage patient interactions, and maintain the efficiency of the practice.

Responsibilities

- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Provide excellent patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns during visits.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software. Dentrix knowledge is an asset.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups as a dental receptionist when required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dental office.





Skills

- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being proactive in individual responsibilities.

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour
