Care for Newcomers just happens to have an exciting opportunity for you!
We’re looking for a resourceful, fun and high energy individual to join our Childcare Program to:
- Work during weekdays from 12:15pm to 3:15pm
- Starting September 1, 2026, based on the program needs.
- Hourly rate is $22
A little about what you bring to Care for Newcomers:
- Demonstrated sensitivity to children and understanding of the challenges faced by newcomers to Canada
- Early Childhood Educator Certification Level 1.
- One year of relevant experience
- You have a first aid and CPR certification appropriate to children.
- Clean Intervention Record Check (IRC) and Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
- English Language Proficiency, level 5.
- TB test administered
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to be able to develop and maintain rapport with parents
A little about what you’ll do:
- Monitor the children’s behavior and intervene as needed
- Prepare the room appropriately before the children arrive
- Supervise the children’s daily activities and routines
- Ensure the kids are safe and comfortable while in our childcare facility
- Communicate with parents about any specifics related to their children
