Steele Heights Baptist Church (SHBC) is an intercultural and intergenerational church in Northeast Edmonton, committed to Moving People to Extraordinary Life with Christ.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about children’s ministry, enjoys working with volunteers and families, and wants to contribute to a team that is committed to helping children know Jesus, grow in faith, and live out their faith in community.

Responsibilities:

The Children’s Ministry Mid-Week Assistant will work in conjunction with the Children’s Pastor, other Children’s Ministry Assistants, and other staff to develop, administer and implement children’s activities throughout the ministry year. The responsibilities include:

Providing administrative support for the Children's Ministry including:

- Assisting with the planning and delivery of Sunday morning children’s programs.
- Planning,



coordinating, and leading The Living Room.
- Supporting and participating in Arise.
- Recruiting, coordinating, and supporting volunteers for all mid-week children’s programs.
- Planning, coordinating, and leading the Grade 5/6 Retreat in May.

Hours of Employment: 15 hours per week Compensation: A competitive rate commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Responsible to: Children’s Pastor Position
