JACOBEAN Craft Chocolate is Newfoundland’s Bean-to-bar chocolate studio and we pride ourselves on being part of a worldwide movement that is changing the chocolate landscape. Using a Transparent/Direct Trade approach, we are helping local equatorial farmers and families live better, healthier and safer lives. And we offer healthy choices for consumers by creating wonderful chocolate from plant based fresh ingredients.

We are the most internationally awarded chocolate maker in Atlantic Canada and we love creating unique and flavourful chocolate recipes.

We are looking for an energetic person to join our team as we make Chocolate Waves here on this beautiful triangle in the sea. This position is part-time permanent with tasks that range from chocolate making, chocolate bar production, bonbon making, sales and other associated support requirements.

Training will be provided and no previous chocolate studio experience is necessary.

The ideal person will love meeting new people, be fun, smiling, friendly, interactive, engaging, enthusiastic, a multi-tasker, creative, represent and must love tasting chocolate. There are also a variety of pop-up and craft fair events currently scheduled and many more on the horizon: Farmer’s Market, our downtown location and other venues.

Requirements





- · Comfortable working in a fast pace environment.
- · Quick learner with a positive, can-do attitude.
- · You will need your own reliable transportation.
- · Legally able to work in Canada.
- · High School diploma or equivalent.
- · Must complete any job-related training that may occur.
- · You must be able to work during the week day.
- · You must be able to work weekends when required.
- · Must be punctual and dependable.
- · Follow health and safety guidelines and regulations.
- · Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- · Food safety experience considered an asset.
- · Sales experience considered an asset.
- · Jewelry assembly experience considered an asset.
- · Able to lift at least 25 poundsExperience
