Empower Métis citizens in Meadow Lake as a full-time Citizen Support Worker. This role is crucial in helping individuals access community resources for comprehensive health and wellness support.
Reporting to the Ma Faamii Operations Supervisor, this permanent role involves assisting community members in navigating various public systems. A post-secondary degree in human services or equivalent experience is required. You'll develop collaborative relationships with local agencies, facilitate life skills training, and assist citizens returning to their communities after service access.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide citizens in navigating multi-jurisdictional systems • Compile a provincial inventory of available support services • Establish partnerships with community service providers • Aid citizens in their transition back home after services • Facilitate life skills development programs
Requirements: • Background in human services or equivalent experience • Experience navigating public community services • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills • Understanding of Indigenous community needs • Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access to transportation
