Wetaskiwin Co-op and Country Junction Feeds is now accepting applications for the position of Class 1 Driver out of our Country Junction Feeds Wetaskiwin facility, located at 4707 40 Ave in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.

Wetaskiwin Co-op is located in central Alberta operating in 9 locations in 5 communities of Wetaskiwin, Innisfail, Camrose, Edmonton and Falun. We operate in a variety of product lines including consumer hardware, building products, crop inputs, petroleum, liquor and feed manufacturing. What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Fleet Operations Manager, the Class 1 Diver is a self-motivated individual who has strong attention to detail. This is a full-time permanent position eligible for benefits. Duties will include but are not limited to:

- Daily operation of commercial vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Preform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your assigned commercial vehicle, maintaining an organized and clean vehicle inside and out. Report any damage of property or vehicle to Team Leader and Health & Safety immediately following an incident.
- Complete local Feed and/or Petroleum deliveries to customers in a courteous and timely manner, following all loading policies and procedures and ensure the safe and proper unloading of tanker cargo into storage tanks.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and team leaders to ensure smooth operations and meeting or exceeding of delivery deadlines.
- Ensure all preventative maintenance is performed on assigned unit according to the truck service and maintenance schedule.
- Following safety and housekeeping standards, policies,



and procedures, and complying with all regulatory requirements.

Who you are: You are looking for a career in the Commercial Trucking and Transportation industries and:

- You have a valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence in the province of Alberta with a clean driving record and can provide a minimum three (3) year commercial drivers abstract.
- You are adaptive, you can drive in various weather conditions on both rural and urban roadways and can adapt to changing schedules and situations.
- You are physical able to lift 50 pounds and can climb up and down ladders as required.
- You have the ability to work in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision.
- You are available to work a variety of shifts and occasional statutory holidays and weekends as required.
- You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
- Previous experience with hauling feed and/or fuel and liquids is considered an asset.
