Job Summary

Macson Projects is hiring an experienced Class 1 winch truck operator to join our team. You will be responsible for the protected transport and placement of heavy equipment, oilfield loads, oversized freight, and industrial machinery across AB/BC. This is a hands-on role for a skilled operator who takes pride in precision driving and equipment care.

Key responsibilities

- Operate winch truck and/or float to transport heavy equipment and oversized loads
- Safely rig, secure, and release loads using winch lines, chains, and straps
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections per CVIP / NSC standards
- Maintain accurate logbooks and hours-of-service records (ELD where applicable)
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding load status, road conditions, and delays
- Follow all company safety protocols and provincial transport regulations




- Perform basic maintenance and report mechanical deficiencies promptly

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 (or Class A CDL) driver's licence with clean abstract — mandatory
- Minimum [3–5] years experience operating winch trucks and/or heavy haul equipment
- Experience with lowboys, and/or oilfield equipment transport an asset
- Ability to obtain a clean commercial drivers abstract for 5 years
- Strong knowledge of load securement and weight/dimension regulations
- Self-motivated, punctual, and safety-focused

This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, reliability, and operational excellence are prioritized. Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
