Hope Health Recovery is a compassionate and patient-centered addiction medicine clinic dedicated to supporting individuals on their recovery journey. We are seeking a Clinical Assistant who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and thrives in a cooperative healthcare environment.

In this role, you will provide essential clinical support to physicians and the healthcare team while helping ensure a positive and respectful patient experience. Responsibilities will include supporting patient care, assisting with specimen collection and testing, obtaining vital signs, administering injections as delegated, preparing examination rooms, and supporting clinical workflows.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Support physicians and the clinical team in providing patient-centered addiction medicine care.
- Collect, process, and perform point-of-care testing on urine samples; accurately document and escalate abnormal results as required.
- Support laboratory testing, requisitions, and specimen submission for House of Hope and other patients.
- Triage patients, obtain vital signs, administer injections, and perform other clinical duties as directed by the physician.




- Complete preliminary intake for new patients and support the clinical assessment process.
- Monitor patient flow and assist with maintaining an efficient clinic workflow.
- Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms and clinical supplies.
- Provide patients with test results and follow-up information as directed by the physician.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with clinic policies and privacy requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinic staff to support quality patient care.
- Perform other clinical duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

- Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) is an asset
- Minimum of 2 years of medical office experience preferred
- Experience with addiction medicine is an asset
- Experience with PatientVu is an asset
