Clinical Assistant – Colon Hydrotherapy & Wellness

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, professional, and wellness-minded Clinical Assistant to join our team with a primary focus on colon hydrotherapy and digestive wellness.

The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for wellness and holistic approaches to health, with a robust interest in gut health, digestive wellness, and supporting clients on their health journeys. This position is hands-on and client-facing, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a clinical environment and understands that colon hydrotherapy involves exposure to and handling of bodily waste, including feces.

Our goal is to create a calm, supportive, professional environment where clients feel comfortable, respected, and cared for throughout their experience.

Responsibilities

- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for colon hydrotherapy appointments.
- Welcome clients and help them feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit.
- Perform clinic tours for new patients.
- Perform colon hydrotherapy treatments according to established protocols, training, and applicable standards.
- Monitor clients throughout their appointments and communicate any concerns appropriately.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized treatment environment.
- Follow all hygiene, infection-control, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Properly clean and disinfect equipment and treatment areas between clients.
- Document treatments and client information accurately and confidentially.
- Educate clients on general wellness and gut-health practices within the scope of the role.
- Support the clinical team with other administrative and patient-care responsibilities as needed.
- Provide a warm, professional, and non-judgmental experience for every client.

- Is comfortable discussing digestive and bowel-related topics in a professional and non-judgmental manner.
- Has strong attention to detail and takes cleanliness and sanitation seriously.
- Is dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is comfortable working in a hands-on clinical environment.
- Is open to learning and receiving training in colon hydrotherapy procedures and our wellness protocols.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a clinical, healthcare, spa, wellness, or customer-care environment is an asset.
- Healthcare/clinical assistant experience is preferred.
- Certification or education in a relevant healthcare or wellness field is an asset.
- Experience with colon hydrotherapy is an asset, but training may be provided to the right candidate.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification is an asset.
- Must be comfortable performing duties involving bodily fluids and fecal matter.
