CNC Mill Setter / Machinist

Pay: $32.00–$38.00 per hour

Shifts Available: Straight Days OR Straight Afternoons

About the Opportunity

We are currently hiring experienced CNC Mill Setters / Machinists for a well-established precision manufacturing facility in Mississauga.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist who is confident performing complete CNC mill setups independently and enjoys working in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

The facility manufactures precision components and subassemblies used across industries including aerospace, defence, medical, space, energy, and other highly regulated sectors.

These are permanent, straight-shift opportunities with both Day and Afternoon shifts available.

Responsibilities

Perform complete CNC milling machine setups from start to finish

Prepare and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding required for production

Set and adjust tooling and machine offsets

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CNC programs

Ensure machines are properly set and production-ready before running jobs

Complete first-off inspections and verify parts meet required specifications

Perform ongoing in-process inspections throughout production

Work to tight tolerances in a precision machining environment

Interpret and work with GD&T;

Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges

Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup,



and dimensional issues

Make necessary setup and offset adjustments to maintain part quality

Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work area

Follow established quality and safety procedures

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of CNC Mill Setter / CNC Milling experience

7+ years of experience is preferred

Must be capable of completing full CNC mill setups independently

Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills

Strong understanding of GD&T; and tight-tolerance machining

Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment

Strong knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, offsets, and workholding

Ability to troubleshoot machining and dimensional issues

Previous experience within aerospace, defence, medical, nuclear, or other high-precision manufacturing environments is strongly preferred

High school diploma or GED required

Machinist certification is considered an asset
