Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines such as lathes and milling machines to produce precision components. Your expertise in mechanical knowledge, CNC programming, and blueprint reading will ensure high-quality production standards are met efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Set up CNC machines, including CNC lathes and milling machines, following detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Program CNC equipment using Fanuc controls and other relevant software to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments like micrometers to verify part dimensions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files created in SolidWorks or similar software.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments to optimize machining performance.
- Use basic math skills to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters for precise manufacturing.




- Follow safety protocols including proper use of welding equipment, forklift operation when necessary, and adherence to lean manufacturing principles.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a CNC Operator with knowledge of CNC programming and machine setup procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and equipment operation.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or other design tools is preferred.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Proficiency in using calipers, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment when needed.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and procedures; forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced workplace.
