Urbaclean Canada is a commercial cleaning company serving professional offices, physiotherapy and chiropractic clinics, insurance offices, mortgage brokers, accounting firms, real estate offices, and similar businesses across Hamilton, Hamilton Mountain, Ancaster, Stoney Creek, Burlington, and nearby areas.

We work with a small, carefully vetted network of independent cleaning professionals - people who take real pride in consistent, reliable work and want the kind of long-term contractor relationship that most cleaning companies don't offer.

We're not posting this ad to collect a large pile of applications. We're looking for three to five exceptional people. If that's you, read on.

The Opportunity

This is an independent subcontractor opportunity — not an employment position. We want to be direct with you about what that means before you apply.

We are actively signing recurring commercial cleaning contracts across the Hamilton and Burlington area. As contracts are awarded, approved subcontractors on our roster are the first people we call for assignments.

Most work takes place on weekday evenings, typically between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM, after businesses have closed for the day.

Honest disclosure: There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours and no guarantee of an immediate assignment the day you're approved. We are a growing company building our client base, and we are transparent that some time may pass between approval and your first assignment.

What we can offer is a professional working relationship, a written scope for every property, reliable and direct communication, and a growing book of commercial contracts that create recurring work for the people on our roster.

Estimated assignment volume, once established: approximately 5–20 hours per week depending on contracts and your geography and availability.

What the Work Looks Like Every assigned property comes with a written, property-specific cleaning checklist. No verbal instructions you have to remember. No ambiguity about what's expected. You follow the scope, complete a photo check-in and check-out, and you're done.





Typical responsibilities include: Vacuuming all carpeted areas and rugs Sweeping and mopping hard floors Full washroom cleaning and sanitization Emptying and relining waste bins throughout the property Disinfecting high-touch surfaces — door handles, light switches, countertops Cleaning reception areas, desks, and common spaces Kitchenette cleaning — counters, sink, exterior of appliances Interior glass and spot cleaning Dusting surfaces, shelves, ledges, and fixtures Following proper lock-up and alarm procedures for each property Reporting any existing or accidental damage immediately and accurately We do not perform carpet extraction, floor stripping and waxing, or biohazard cleaning. Who We're Looking For

REQUIRED

At least one year of professional cleaning experience - commercial or residential.

Reliable personal vehicle and ability to reach assigned properties independently.

Available weekday evenings - approximately 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Comfortable working independently in commercial spaces after business hours.

Comfortable with key and lockbox access and commercial alarm set/disarm procedures

Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to consistent quality

Two professional references - former employers, clients, or supervisors who can speak to your reliability Willingness to complete a background check for client access requirements

Reliable phone - must be reachable by text or call on assigned shift days

PREFERRED - STRONG ASSETS, NOT DEAL BREAKERS

Prior commercial or office cleaning experience (clinics, offices, professional spaces).

Own cleaning supplies and/or commercial-grade vacuum and equipment

General liability insurance ($2M+) and/or active WSIB clearance





Registered business or HST number as an independent operator.

Existing independent cleaning clients of your own

If you're genuinely excellent and reliable but don't have every preferred item, we still want to hear from you.

Compensation

This is subcontract work. Compensation is agreed per property assignment, structured to reflect the scope, frequency, and time required for each contract.

Our assignments are priced to produce the equivalent of approximately $25.00–$35.00 per hour for time on-site, depending on the contract. Payment is made by e-Transfer following confirmed job completion. You are responsible for your own taxes, HST remittance where applicable, and any other obligations as an independent contractor.
