Laborer – Swing Stage Concrete Masonry & WaterproofingPosition Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our crews performing concrete masonry, concrete repairs, and waterproofing work from swing stages and other elevated access systems. The Laborer will support the Foreman and skilled tradespeople with daily site operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist crews with concrete masonry, concrete repairs, waterproofing, sealant, and building-envelope restoration work.
- Work from swing stages, suspended scaffolding, and other elevated access systems as required.
- Assist with setup, preparation, and cleanup of work areas.
- Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, equipment, and construction materials.
- Prepare surfaces for concrete repairs, masonry repairs, waterproofing, coatings, and sealants.
- Assist with mixing and handling concrete, mortar, repair materials, coatings, and other construction products.
- Assist skilled workers with demolition, chipping, grinding, patching, repointing, and removal of damaged materials.
- Help install and remove waterproofing materials, membranes, sealants, and related products under direction from the Foreman.
- Maintain tools, equipment, swing stage work areas, and job sites in clean and safe condition.
- Follow instructions from the Foreman and experienced tradespeople.
- Assist with material staging and ensure required materials are available for the crew.
- Perform general construction duties as required to keep the project progressing efficiently.
- Follow all company safety policies, site rules, fall-protection requirements, and safe work procedures.
- Participate in toolbox meetings and safety training.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or other hazards to the Foreman.
- Maintain a professional attitude and work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous construction, masonry,



concrete, waterproofing, or restoration experience is an asset but not required.
- Willingness to learn concrete masonry, waterproofing, and building-envelope repair techniques.
- Comfortable working at heights and from swing stages.
- Physically capable of lifting materials, handling tools, and performing manual labor throughout the workday.
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment is an asset.
- Valid driver's license is an asset.
- Fall protection, swing stage, First Aid, WHMIS, or other construction safety certifications are an asset.

Working Conditions
- Primarily outdoor construction work at elevated heights.
- Regular use of swing stages, suspended scaffolding, ladders, and fall-protection systems.
- Exposure to concrete dust, masonry materials, waterproofing products, noise, and changing weather conditions.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive physical activity.
- May require early starts, extended workdays, overtime, and occasional weekend work depending on project requirements.

Compensation Competitive wages based on experience and qualifications, with opportunities for overtime, training, and advancement.

Reporting Structure The Laborer reports directly to the Foreman and works as part of the field crew to support the safe, productive, and high-quality completion of concrete masonry, repair, and waterproofing projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
