We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Construction Labourer to join our team. Reporting to the Superintendent, the Construction Labourer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that construction projects run smoothly. Your Impact at LAURIN As a Construction Labourer, you will contribute to the overall success of our projects by helping maintain an efficient, safe, and well-organized job site. Your hands-on support helps the project team stay on schedule, address site needs, and keep construction activities moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform general construction labour and basic carpentry tasks, including material handling, formwork assistance, and site support activities.
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris, removing obstacles, grading, and setting up materials, tools, and equipment.




- Clean and maintain construction sites to ensure a safe, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Transport, load, unload, and position construction materials such as lumber, concrete materials, tools, and equipment.
- Operate basic hand and power tools in accordance with training, supervision, and safety procedures.
- Assist with installation and removal of temporary site safety measures, including guardrails, bump lines, barricades, and signage.
- Support winter site safety activities, including salting and sanding walkways, access points, and work areas.
- Assist with winter heat operations, including setup and monitoring of heating equipment (training and propane certification provided if required).
- Perform dewatering activities, including setting up and monitoring pumps and hoses to manage water accumulation on site.
- Assist with or operate equipment such as a skid steer (certification provided if not already held).
- Support traffic control measures on site as required.
- Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials and equipment.
- Comply with all company policies, site-specific rules, and applicable health and safety legislation.

Qualifications
- Experience with general construction labour and basic carpentry is an asset.
- Ability to safely operate or assist with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Ability to follow direction and work effectively as part of a construction team.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and the ability to follow company and site-specific safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain basic site safety certifications, including:
- Working at Heights
- WHMIS




- Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps

- Willingness to obtain additional certifications as required, including:

- Propane Handling Certification
- Skid Steer Operator Certification

Education & Skilled Credentials
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Relevant education or coursework in construction, carpentry, or a related trade is considered an asset.

Eligibility & Security Requirements At LAURIN, many of our projects require specific employment and security conditions. To be considered, candidates must:
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada. Please note that LAURIN does not provide or assume sponsorship for work permits or visas.
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance (Secret clearance is considered an asset).
- Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of authorization to work in Canada (e.g., valid work permit or Social Insurance Number). All offers of employment are conditional upon obtaining the required security clearance.

Estimated Compensation The estimated hourly compensation for this role ranges from $20.00–$30.00, based on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed in your personalized offer.
