Bjordal Construction is looking for a Construction Project & Cost Coordinator to work directly with ownership and our project teams.

We are a straightforward construction company. We work hard, take responsibility for our work and expect people to follow through on what they say they will do. We aren't heavily corporate and don't want unnecessary systems or paperwork—we want accurate information that helps us run projects properly.

The role will include:

- Maintaining project budgets and SOVs
- Preparing and tracking monthly progress claims
- Tracking subcontractor and supplier commitments and invoices
- Tracking material purchases, deposits, deliveries and payments
- Purchase orders and committed-cost tracking
- Job costing and cost-to-complete forecasting
- Change-order tracking from identification through collection
- Tracking accounts receivable, accounts payable and holdbacks
- Project cash-flow forecasting
- Monitoring projected project margins
- Producing a simple weekly financial/project-controls report for ownership
- Working with site staff, suppliers, subcontractors and accounting to make sure costs and billings are captured accurately

We're looking for someone who:

- Has 2–5+ years of construction project coordination,



project accounting or cost-control experience
- Understands construction billing, SOVs, holdbacks, POs and change orders
- Is very comfortable with Excel and numbers
- Is organized, independent and good at following things through
- Notices when something doesn't look right and asks questions
- Is comfortable taking ownership without needing constant supervision
- Handles confidential financial information professionally

The position will be based around our Squamish home base, with some work from home available once established. Occasional project/site visits in the Sea-to-Sky and Lower Mainland will be required. We don't measure someone's value by how many hours they're visibly sitting at a desk. We care about accuracy, accountability, deadlines and results.

There is room for this position to grow as Bjordal Construction continues to take on larger projects.

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
