We complete general contracting and structural restoration work across the industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) and multi-unit residential sectors. The Role

MCL is hiring a hands-on Construction Site Supervisor to lead company crews and coordinate subcontractors on commercial general contracting, renovation and multi-trade construction projects. The role is responsible for daily site coordination, safe and efficient work execution, quality control, schedule progress and communication with project managers, clients and consultants.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate MCL crews of approximately 1 to 10 workers and multiple subcontractors.
- Plan daily and short-term work, assign tasks and establish methods to meet project schedules.
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, schedules and scope documents.
- Coordinate trades, inspections, deliveries, materials, equipment and site access.
- Oversee demolition, carpentry, installations, architectural finishes and other general contracting activities.
- Monitor workmanship, productivity and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate work in occupied or operational buildings while protecting existing conditions and minimizing disruption.
- Lead site safety, housekeeping and implementation of company and project procedures.
- Identify and resolve site issues; escalate scope, schedule, quality or safety risks as required.
- Coordinate deficiencies, corrective work and project closeout activities.
- Maintain daily records and provide clear progress updates to project management.
- Communicate professionally with clients, consultants, subcontractors and workers.




- Complete hands-on construction work when required to support the crew and schedule.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- At least five years of relevant construction experience, including at least two years in a lead, foreperson or supervisory role.
- Broad experience in commercial general contracting, renovations or comparable multi-trade construction environments.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings and specifications.
- Sound carpentry and finishing knowledge, with the ability to assess workmanship across varied scopes.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate company crews, subcontractors, deliveries, materials and competing priorities.
- Working knowledge of construction sequencing, quality requirements and job-site safety practices.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving, time-management and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to complete accurate daily reports and communicate project progress and concerns.
- A valid Ontario G driver's licence and reliable transportation to job sites.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience on commercial, institutional, industrial, occupied-building or multi-unit residential projects.
- Experience with interior renovations, building-envelope work, architectural finishes, deficiencies and project closeout.
- Current First Aid, Working at Heights, WHMIS or other relevant construction safety training.
- Trade certification or equivalent demonstrated field experience.





Work Environment Work is performed at active construction sites, indoors and outdoors, and may involve dust, noise, uneven surfaces, heights, temperature changes, physical labour, lifting and moving heavy materials, and the use of required personal protective equipment. The role requires travel between sites and may require early starts, overtime or occasional weekend work.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
