We are looking to expand our finance team by hiring a Controller. This role would report directly to the CFO. We are looking for an individual who is a team player, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented and can manage highly confidential information with a high level of integrity and discretion.

- Manage group financial reporting functions and group reporting package
- Prepare monthly financial reports including variance analysis
- Prepare quarterly financial statements with note disclosure and MD&A;
- Assist with complex accounting matters
- Develop and maintain processes, procedures, and internal controls

Accounting

- Responsible for group accounting functions
- Responsible for month-end full accounting cycle

Payroll

- Payroll review and processing

Government and Regulatory

- Quarterly and annual GST/HST/QST returns
- Oversee tax compliance matters

Accounts Payable

- Oversee invoice processing

Banking and Cash Management





- Monthly cashflow reconciliation
- Daily monitoring of cash balance and tracking of payments

Budget and Forecast

- Preparation of annual budget / forecast and variance analysis

Other Duties

- As requested by the CEO and CFO

Qualifications

- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting related program
- Mining public company experience preferably in the junior mining space
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting, financial reporting, and internal control matters
- Proficiency with accounting software
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
- Attention to detail, able to work independently and reliable
