Our Cooks are the heart of the food service department in our buildings. Our cooks are:

- Organized - mise en place for all aspects of the role
- Quality focused - ensure food is fresh and delicious, the environment is spotless, and the equipment is clean
- Adaptable - ready to pivot with the changing needs of the populations served (e.g. modified or textured diets, food allergies)
- Team oriented - provides direction while maintaining a positive enjoyable work environment in the kitchen
- Committed - providing superior customer service and dedication to the role

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.




- Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed during meal preparation and service.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

- Food Safe 1
- Red Seal (asset)
- Previous experience in an Assisting Living or Long-Term care setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to perform various cooking techniques and meal preparation tasks.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $25.61-$27.31 per hour
