RN / LPN – Correctional & Community Health | Nanaimo, BC

? Start Date: Week of September 7, 2026

? Contract: Through January 31, 2027, with potential extension

We are seeking RNs and LPNs with strong acute care and mental health skills to support healthcare services within a correctional/community health setting in Nanaimo.

? Pay Rates

- RN: $51–$61/hour
- LPN: $42–$51/hour

? ⚕️ Ideal Experience Experience in any combination of the following:
- Correctional nursing
- Emergency / urgent care
- Acute care
- Mental Health
- Substance Use / Addictions
- Primary care

Preference will be given to candidates with previous correctional nursing experience who can commit to the full contract term. ? Role Highlights

- Community health setting — no inpatient beds
- Focus on Primary, Urgent, Emergency, Mental Health & Substance Use care
- No overnight shifts
- Extended shifts may be scheduled based on operational needs
- Overtime opportunities may be available
- Schedules may vary according to site requirements
- Free on-site parking
- Staff room available with fridge, microwave and coffee maker
- Restaurants, grocery stores and food delivery services are available nearby





? Accommodation Candidates can look for accommodation in Nanaimo within an approximate budget of $100–$120/night .

? Requirements

- Current resume with contact information
- Clinical skills checklist
- Current BCCNM registration/license to practice in BC (registration number required)
- Current BCLS certification
- Two professional references
- Current immunization records
- Canadian Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (CPIC-VS) — not reimbursable
- OFA2 (Intermediate) preferred and may be required by the site
