Job Title: Cost Engineer (Senior Cost Estimating & Analytics Advisor)

Duration: 12 Months contract with potential extensions

Location: Edmonton, AB or Calgary, AB

Work Model: Hybrid (Mon, Tue & Thurs in office-Wed & Fri WFH)

We are seeking a Senior Cost Estimating & Analytics Advisor to support a multi-billion-dollar capital project portfolio. This role will focus on improving cost estimating tools, analytical models, reporting, and cost intelligence to support informed project decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, maintain, and calibrate capital cost estimating tools.
- Analyze historical project data, estimate variances, market trends, and project outcomes.
- Improve estimating methodologies, assumptions, and estimate accuracy.
- Develop Power BI dashboards, KPIs, cost curves, and analytical models.
- Create process documentation, calibration procedures,



user guides, and standards.
- Partner with Project Development, Project Controls, System Planning, and Design teams.
- Provide data-driven insights and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Business Analytics, or related field.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Robust knowledge of capital cost estimating, validation, and calibration.
- Proficiency with Power BI, analytics tools, and cost estimating/reporting systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- AACE CEP or equivalent certification is an asset.
