Overview

DMS Metals Ltd. is a full-service metal recycling company with multiple locations throughout the GTA. We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our team at our Stouffville facility.

The successful candidate must have at least five years of experience working in the metal recycling industry, along with proven experience operating cranes or material handlers in a scrap yard environment.

Requirements

- Minimum five years of experience in the metal recycling industry
- Minimum five years of experience operating a crane or material handler
- Strong understanding of scrap metal sorting, handling, and processing
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required

Responsibilities

- Sort, move, and process scrap metal as directed
- Load and unload trailers, trucks, and containers safely and efficiently




- Operate cranes and material-handling equipment in accordance with company safety procedures
- Communicate with yard employees using a two-way radio
- Perform routine inspections and general maintenance on equipment
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment concerns to management
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
- Complete other related duties as assigned by management

Schedule

- Monday to Friday: 6:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Some Saturdays, as required.

Work Location: In person Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
