We are growing and actively looking for people to work FULL TIME for both the residential and commercial sides of the business.

ILI is seeking an experienced and motivated Crew Lead to support our landscape and snow removal operations team. This position plays a key role in coordinating work between our two divisions while leading crews in the successful completion of landscaping projects. The Crew Lead will be responsible for operating the water truck, applying fertilizer and weed control products, supporting crew productivity, and ensuring work is completed safely and to the highest standards.

Minimum Requirements:

- Minimum 1 year of landscaping industry experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Valid G Driver's Licence
- Ability to lead and motivate crews in a fast-paced outdoor environment

Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead and support landscape crews in the completion of enhancement and installation projects.
- Operate the company water truck and ensure proper watering schedules are maintained.
- Apply fertilizer, weed control, and other approved horticultural treatments safely and effectively.
- Coordinate work and communication between maintenance and enhancement divisions to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform landscape enhancement services, including mulch installation, sodding, topdressing, tree and shrub planting, and related tasks.
- Identify enhancement opportunities and communicate recommendations to management.
- Assist with loading, transportation, and the safe operation of vehicles, equipment, and machinery.
- Ensure crew members follow company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.




- Communicate effectively with forepersons, managers, and other crew members to ensure sites are maintained to the highest standard.
- Participate in health and safety meetings and promote a culture of professionalism and accountability.
- Assist with general site maintenance and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of landscaping industry experience in a supervisory or crew leadership capacity.
- Valid G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating trucks, trailers, and landscaping equipment.
- Experience applying fertilizer and weed control products (licensing/certification considered an asset).
- Pruning experience.
- Tree and plant identification skills, including knowledge of native plant species.
- Knowledge of sustainable landscaping and horticultural practices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labour.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork, quality, and safety.
