Support children and families at the Family Learning Place as a Monitor. This role focuses on protected, culturally respectful supervision of family visits and accurate observation documentation. The Monitor will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment during family visits, promoting positive interactions. Applicants should have experience in human services, an understanding of trauma-informed approaches, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
Key responsibilities include navigating community systems while providing support to families in crisis. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee family visits ensuring safety and wellbeing of children
- Facilitate respectful and supportive family interactions
- Document detailed observations for internal and ministry records
- Assist clients in accessing healthcare and social services
- Manage crises calmly and develop safety plans Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12 or higher education in relevant fields
- Background in working with families or children
- Knowledge of intergenerational trauma and community issues
- Excellent skills in communication and organization
- Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers Licence and background checks Enhance family engagement and child welfare as a Monitor at the Family Learning Place!
