Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian/Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within multiple client facilities. This vital role involves performing comprehensive cleaning and facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and safety are upheld. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating a positive space for staff and visitors alike.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine cleaning duties including dusiting, sweeping, vacuuming, trash removal, and mopping across all designated areas
- Maintain sanitization standards and cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment
- Ensure paper products and soap are stocked
- Conduct commercial cleaning tasks such as window washing, floor stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning as needed
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored properly after use
- Follow health and safety protocols to prevent accidents or hazards within the facility

Experience





- Prior experience in custodial work or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- First aid is an asset
- Physical ability to complete work required and to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and floor scrubbers safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following established procedures
- Having a vehicle and a valid driver’s licence are considered assets
- Hiring will be contingent on obtaining a clear RCMP criminal record check

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
