Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Deal Posting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with proficiency in CDK accounting software. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

The Deal Posting

Clerk will be responsible for processing Vehicle Sale Deals and other financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting in a busy franchised car dealership

Duties

- Process journal entries and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
- Perform account and schedule reconciliations, including general ledger reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely payments and collections
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports in accordance with GAAP standards
- Conduct bank payouts and ensure accuracy of cash flow management
- Utilize accounting software such as CDK and One Eighty for efficient record-keeping
- Support sales commission processing and ensure accuracy.
- Analyze accounts for discrepancies and resolve issues as they arise
- Maintain organized documentation for all financial activities to facilitate audits and reviews




- Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy

Requirements

- Proficiency in accounting software CDK and One Eighty is highly desirable
- Robust understanding of corporate accounting principles, retail accounting practices, and governmental accounting standards
- Familiarity with GAAP regulations and financial concepts including double-entry bookkeeping
- Experience in general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and journal entries
- Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll management
- Excellent technical accounting skills with the ability to analyze financial data effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks performed
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
