DZ Delivery Driver – London, Ontario
BRS Concepts Inc. is currently recruiting experienced DZ Delivery Drivers for a permanent, full-time opportunity with an established dairy/food distribution operation in London, Ontario.
This is a physically demanding delivery position involving regular hand-bombing, unloading and delivering dairy products directly to customer locations.
Position Details
Position: DZ Delivery Driver
Location: London, Ontario
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Pay: $27.00/hour
Hours: Approximately 50 hours per week
Schedule: 5 days per week, primarily Monday to Friday
Saturday: Availability required as needed
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule & Route Information
This is an overnight/night delivery operation with variable start and end times depending on the assigned route.
The typical route may be around a 10-hour window, but schedules can vary. Examples may include:
- 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
- 11:00 PM – 9:00 AM
- Other schedules depending on the assigned route
Some routes may require 12–13 hours depending on operational requirements. Candidates must be flexible with their start and end times.
IMPORTANT – LETTER OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Candidates MUST be able to provide a Letter of Experience from either a previous employer or their insurance company/insurer.
The letter must clearly document:
- The type of heavy/commercial vehicle driven
- The date the candidate started driving that vehicle
- The date the candidate stopped driving that vehicle
- Confirmation of no claims history during the documented period
A minimum of 3 years of documented heavy/commercial vehicle driving experience is required. This documentation is a mandatory requirement for the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and drive a DZ-class delivery truck safely
- Pick up and deliver dairy products to established customer routes
- Load and unload products from the truck
- Regularly hand-bomb dairy products
- Use a two-wheel dolly/hand cart to move products
- Deliver products directly into customer locations
- Deliver products up and down stairwells as required
- Work in refrigerated environments maintained around 0–4°C
- Inspect orders at the time of delivery to ensure all invoiced products are present
- Pick up returns, empty crates and pallets
- Ensure the vehicle is loaded correctly and products are secured
- Maintain the vehicle according to company standards
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Complete end-of-day driver check-in
- Report invoice discrepancies, customer concerns and equipment deficiencies
- Communicate with the Operations Manager as required
- Operate computerized handheld delivery equipment
- Follow all applicable road-safety and transportation procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements This is NOT a dock-to-dock delivery position.
Drivers will be required to physically unload and move dairy products at customer locations.
The successful candidate must be comfortable with:
- Regularly lifting and carrying 50+ lbs
- Hand-bombing merchandise
- Repeated loading and unloading throughout the route
- Using a two-wheel dolly/hand cart
- Walking and standing for extended periods
- Delivering products into retail/customer locations
- Carrying products up and down stairs as required — there is no fixed stair limit
- Working in 0–4°C refrigerated environments
- Performing repetitive physical work throughout the shift
Candidates must be physically capable of completing deliveries regardless of the number of stairs involved at a particular customer location.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario DZ driver's licence
- Minimum 3 years of commercial/heavy-vehicle driving experience
- Ability to provide the required 3-year Letter of Experience
- Letter must identify the type of vehicle driven, dates of driving experience and confirm no claims history during the documented period
- Latest clean/acceptable driver's abstract
- Latest clean/acceptable CVOR
- Must be able to operate an automatic truck
- Previous delivery experience preferred
- Experience using a two-wheel dolly/hand cart preferred
- Ability to operate a walkie, handjack and dolly
- Good command of English, both verbal and written
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to operate a computerized handheld device
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility with variable night-shift start/end times
- Availability to work Saturdays when required
- Ability to work approximately 50 hours per week
- Available to start ASAP

- Are you available for variable night-shift schedules, with start/end times that may change depending on the route?
- Are you available to start ASAP?
- If selected for the position, are you willing to obtain a criminal background check as part of the pre-employment process?
