Responsibilities

- Provide gentle assistance with personal care, hygiene, and mobility
- Implement redirection, calming techniques, and routine management for clients with dementia
- Meal Preparation and assistance with light housekeeping
- Accompany clients on outings, shopping, and errands
- Medication Assist / Reminders




- Ambulation and transporting of clients
- Provide companionship and cognitive stimulation
- Ability to follow care plans and provide accurate documentation/charting

Qualifications

- Prior experience supporting individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or memory loss preferred
- Must reside in the Langley area (Langley, Aldergrove, Cloverdale) or be fully willing and able to reliably commute to shifts across Langley
- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student)
- Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
- CRC for Vulnerable Sector (valid for 5 years) or willingness to obtain
- Ability to travel around the local area
- Access to Internet / smartphone with data
