Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, experienced Level 2 Dental Assistant to join our small, family-run boutique office. The position is part-time, temporary coverage on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays (hours between 10am-5pm) covering leave of absence until May 2027.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background working in oral surgery, complex root canal, and implant procedures, so previous experience working in a specialist environment or the ability to manage these type of procedures in existing office is a huge asset. Minimum 1 year experience working in a Canadian dental office.

Paid working interview will be conducted to ensure a good fit.

Duties

- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Previous experience assisting for root canals, tooth extractions, and dental implants are an asset.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.




- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Clean up operatories, sterilize dental instruments, and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area to adhere to infection control protocols.

Qualifications

- Level 2 dental assisting qualifications; familiarity in assisting for root canals, wisdom teeth extractions, and dental implants an asset
- Proficiency in speaking Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an asset
- Knowledge of dental tools and equipment is beneficial
- Good interpersonal skills

Pay is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. We thank all those who are interested in applying. Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
