Job Posting: Certified Dental Assistant (Level I or II)

Location: Owen Sound, ON (In-Person)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent/ Part time

Hours & Schedule:

- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Alternate Fridays: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Enjoy a built-in 3-day weekend every other week! No evening or weekend shifts.

Salary: $25.00 – $29.00 per hour (Commensurate with certification level and experience) Benefits: Comprehensive dental care, extended health benefits, on-site parking, and a continuing education allowance.

We are a small family practice, patient-focused dental practice located in beautiful Owen Sound, Ontario. Our clinic is dedicated to providing high-quality oral healthcare in a warm, welcoming environment.

We are seeking a reliable, positive, and compassionate Dental Assistant (Level I or II) to join our growing clinical team. In this role, you will work closely with our dentists and hygienists to deliver exceptional chairside care, maintain strict infection control standards, and ensure our patients have a comfortable, stress-free experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Chairside Assisting: Provide dynamic chairside assistance to the dentist during general, restorative, or cosmetic dental procedures.
- Patient Comfort: Greet and prepare patients for treatment, review medical histories, and explain post-operative care instructions.
- Sterilization & Safety: Clean, sterilize,



and set up dental instruments and treatment rooms in strict accordance with Public Health Ontario guidelines.
- Radiography & Lab Tasks: Take high-quality digital dental X-rays (panoramic and intraoral) and assist with digital impressions or laboratory work where applicable.
- Digital Practice Management: Use our dental software systems to track clinical notes, update patient records, and coordinate with the administrative team.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program (NDAEB certificate preferred).
- Certification as a Level I or Level II Dental Assistant in Ontario.
- Valid HARP certification (required for taking X-rays).
- Current CPR / First Aid certification.
- Software Proficiency: Practical experience with Dentrix and/or Akitu One practice management software is highly preferred.
- Strong manual dexterity, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
