Rick Davis Promotions Inc. is an established event production, experiential marketing, exhibit design, and custom fabrication company serving clients across the GTA and beyond. We create and produce custom exhibits, event environments, displays, branded installations, signage, and experiential projects.
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Designer / Graphic Designer to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both creative design and practical production, and who can take a concept from an initial idea through to a finished, physical product.
Position Overview The Designer / Graphic Designer will work closely with our project management, fabrication, and production teams to develop creative concepts and production-ready artwork for events, exhibits, displays, signage, promotional materials, and branded environments.
The successful candidate should have strong graphic design skills, excellent attention to detail, and an understanding of how artwork is prepared for large-format printing, fabrication, and physical installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative concepts and visual designs for events, exhibits, displays, signage, and experiential projects.
- Create layouts, graphics, signage, banners, displays, and other branded materials.
- Develop artwork based on client branding guidelines and project requirements.
- Prepare files for large-format printing, CNC production, fabrication, and installation.
- Create production-ready artwork with accurate dimensions, bleeds, scaling, resolution, and file specifications.
- Work from sketches, measurements, floor plans, drawings, and client requirements.
- Modify and adapt existing artwork for different sizes, applications,
and production methods.
- Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, fabricators, installers, and other team members to ensure designs are practical and achievable.
- Communicate with clients or project teams regarding design revisions and artwork requirements when required.
- Review proofs and final artwork carefully to ensure accuracy before production.
- Assist with creating presentations, mock-ups, renderings, and visual concepts for client approval.
- Organize and maintain project artwork, design files, templates, and production documents.
- Make revisions quickly and accurately based on feedback and project changes.
- Support the production team with design-related questions during fabrication and installation.
- Assist with other creative and production-related projects as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Design, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional graphic design experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, colour, composition, and branding.
- Experience preparing artwork for print and large-format production.
- Strong understanding of file formats, resolution, dimensions, bleeds, scaling, and print specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work with measurements and technical specifications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to receive feedback and make revisions efficiently.
Considered an Asset Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:
- Exhibit or trade-show design.
- Event graphics and signage.
- Large-format printing.
- Experiential marketing.
- Environmental graphics.
- Packaging or structural graphics.
- 3D design or rendering.
- CAD or technical drawings.
- CNC production.
- Working with fabrication or carpentry teams.
- Understanding of materials and physical production methods.
- Experience preparing files for vinyl, banners, rigid signage, dimensional graphics, or other fabricated elements.

Pay: $55,000.00-$69,000.00 per year
