Digital Copywriter (Accessibility + SEO) Starts: Early September Duration: Approx. 3 months, 15-20 hours/week Fully Remote Rate: $45-55/hr.

Our client, a leading post-education institution, is seeking an experienced freelance Digital Copywriter to support a major website transformation initiative. This role is approx 3 months, part time hours (roughly 15-20 hours week).

The Copywriter will play a critical role in enhancing the institution's digital presence through large-scale web content development and the comprehensive rewrite of academic program descriptions. This position combines content strategy, content audits, SEO/AEO/GEO optimization, accessibility best practices, and marketing-focused storytelling.

Key Responsibilities: - Write clear, engaging, student focused content for webpages, landing pages, and digital marketing initiatives.

- Rewrite academic program descriptions to improve clarity, engagement, conversion potential, and alignment with institutional brand standards.
- Review existing content for accuracy, accessibility, SEO performance, and consistency across departments.
- Ensure all content meets AODA and WCAG standards, improving usability for all audiences.
- Contribute to planning, structuring, and maintaining a large institutional website with multiple stakeholders and content owners.
- Work with marketing, academic units, HR, and internal communications teams to gather information and maintain content accuracy.
- Support broader website marketing initiatives, including landing pages, navigation improvements, and content strategy.

Required Qualifications: - Demonstrated expertise in SEO, AEO, and GEO strategies.

- Experience with large scale web content projects (multi-page, multi-department, multi-stakeholder).
- Strong understanding of web accessibility, including AODA and WCAG compliance.
- Professional experience in marketing copywriting,



especially for academic or program related content.
- Ability to translate complex academic information into clear, compelling, student focused narratives.
- Background in web content strategy, digital communications, or strategic marketing.
- Nice to have Experience: Post-secondary education or adult learning experience.
