Lead transformative education initiatives as the Director of Provincially Operated Schools in Ontario's Ministry of Education. This role emphasizes strategic operations and relationship management across diverse educational settings. As part of the Provincial and Demonstration Schools Branch, you will oversee seven schools dedicated to Deaf, blind, hard of hearing, and learning-disabled students.
You will provide clear strategic leadership while managing multi-site operations and enhancing policy coherence. Collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support and facilities management is vital in this leadership role. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee operations of seven education facilities across Ontario
- Develop policies to enhance student-focused educational services
- Lead a diverse team in delivering high-quality programs
- Engage with parents, advocacy groups, and government partners
- Report operational results to the Assistant Deputy Minister Requirements:
- Experience in multi-site operational leadership
- Robust understanding of special education and Deaf culture
- Proven ability in relationship management and political acuity
- Skills in managing human resources and labor relations
