We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Dishwasher / Catering Assistant to support our catering operations. This is a physically demanding, fast-paced position that involves dishwashing, cleaning, organizing equipment, and assisting with loading and unloading catering supplies.

Heavy lifting is required for this position.

Responsibilities

- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, trays, and catering equipment.
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing and kitchen area.
- Load and unload catering equipment, food containers, tables, racks, and supplies.
- Lift, carry, move, and stack heavy catering equipment and supplies.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down catering events when required.
- Remove garbage, recycling, and food waste.
- Sweep, mop, and clean kitchen and work areas.
- Properly store clean dishes, equipment, and supplies.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist kitchen and catering staff with other duties as needed.

Physical Requirements





- Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Must be comfortable with repetitive lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a busy, hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen workplace.
- Ability to safely move heavy racks, bins, and catering equipment.

Qualifications

- Previous dishwashing, kitchen, catering, or warehouse experience is an asset but not required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must follow health, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, may be required depending on catering events.
