Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations and sanitation protocols.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by organizing supplies and managing dishware flow.
- Restock cleaning supplies and ensure dishwashing stations are well-maintained throughout shifts.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food handling and basic food preparation skills.
- Experience in cleaning or maintaining cleanliness in a commercial setting is beneficial.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures is a plus.
- Hospitality or hotel experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
