Duties

- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using proper cleaning techniques and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all kitchen tools are stored properly after cleaning
- Assist with basic food handling tasks as needed to support kitchen staff during busy service hours
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a hygienic work environment
- Support the kitchen team by organizing supplies and ensuring all dishware is ready for use during service




- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to promote sustainability practices within the restaurant
- Collaborate with team members to uphold cleanliness standards that meet or exceed health regulations

Qualifications

- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Strong attention to detail to ensure dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or commercial cleaning tools is a plus but not mandatory
- A commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff
