MTE Logistix is looking for a highly motivated Warehouse Dispatcher on Day Shift to join our team in West Edmonton, Alberta. The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating high-volume inbound and outbound logistics operations. This position accepts all appointment booking requests, prioritizes all client orders, books all delivery appointments, and organizes all receiving and shipping paperwork.
This individual should have a broad range of customer focused skills and interests and be able to display a keen attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work as a team player is crucial and candidates must be able to manage multiple priorities.

About YOU:
You thrive in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment where managing multiple priorities comes naturally. Highly organized and detail-oriented, you take pride in ensuring accuracy when coordinating shipments, schedules, and documentation. You communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers, and you’re confident using dispatch systems, warehouse management systems, and Microsoft Office tools. A proactive problem-solver, you adapt quickly, make sound decisions under pressure, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experience in dispatching, logistics, or a 3PL warehouse environment is considered an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inbound (receiving) and outbound (shipping) transportation activities and maintain accurate daily appointment logs.
- Greet and direct drivers to assigned dock door and communicate new pick-up/delivery with warehouse, receive and review all packing slips/waybills
- Utilize SAP EWM and SAP ERP Central Component software to support warehouse and transportation operations.
- Accept pick tickets and Bills of Lading (BOLs), prioritize workload for warehouse staff, and communicate shipment requirements to drivers.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operational data.
- Schedule and monitor carrier appointments to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate transportation, shipping, and receiving records in accordance with company procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and customer service teams regarding shipment status and scheduling.
- Track inbound and outbound shipments, proactively identifying and resolving delays or transportation issues.
- Coordinate dock schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize vehicle wait times.
- Verify shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance with transportation requirements.
- Communicate daily priorities, workload changes, and operational updates to warehouse and logistics teams.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation, scheduling, and service levels.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving shipments, inventory, freight documentation, or carrier performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance logistics processes and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies,
transportation regulations, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with inventory-related inquiries and coordinate with warehouse teams to support accurate product movement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years Dispatch experience.
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Logistics Software (SAP) and MAVES.
- High levels of accuracy with regards to typing, data entry and transfer, and order entry.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail oriented with great time management skills.
- Ability to manage high volumes, and work in a fast-paced work environment.
