Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced LTL Dispatcher to coordinate daily pickup and delivery operations within a fast-paced transportation environment. The successful candidate must have strong knowledge of LTL operations, GTA routing, driver management, and customer service. This is a Monday to Friday position 7am to 5pm (with 1 hour lunch).

Duties

- Dispatch and coordinate daily LTL pickup and delivery routes.
- Plan efficient routes based on freight volume, appointments, driver availability, and service areas.
- Monitor drivers throughout the day and make adjustments to maintain service levels.
- Communicate pickup and delivery instructions clearly to drivers.
- Ensure scheduled appointments and priority shipments are completed on time.
- Work closely with Customer Service and Dock Operations to resolve freight and service issues.
- Monitor driver hours, productivity, and route efficiency.
- Respond quickly to delays, breakdowns, missed pickups, and other operational challenges.
- Ensure accurate dispatch records and system updates.
- Provide professional communication to drivers, customers, and internal departments.

Experience

- Minimum 5 years of LTL dispatch experience required.
- Strong knowledge of the GTA and surrounding delivery areas.




- Strong understanding of LTL pickup and delivery operations.
- Excellent routing, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple drivers and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, time-sensitive transportation environment.
- Strong computer and transportation-management-system skills.

Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is experienced, organized, decisive, and proactive. This position requires a dispatcher who can take ownership of daily operations, communicate effectively with drivers, and make quick decisions to keep freight moving efficiently.

Pay: Up to $75,000.00 per year
