Duties

- Coordinate freight shipments using transportation management systems (TMS) and SyteLine to schedule pickups, deliveries, and routing efficiently.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers, drivers, and customers via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Manage shipping & receiving documentation accurately through data entry and analysis skills, ensuring all records are complete and compliant with company standards.
- Utilize systems such as AS400 and Supply Chain software to track shipments, update statuses, and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Assist with freight planning by analyzing shipping schedules, optimizing routes, and coordinating with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to meet delivery deadlines.




- Conduct regular analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Maintain organized records of all shipping & receiving activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and company policies.

Requirements

- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS), AS400, and SyteLine is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations, freight logistics, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette; ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently.
- Proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, and analysis skills to interpret shipment data effectively.
- Familiarity with 3PL providers and freight management practices to coordinate shipments seamlessly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation requirements and compliance standards is a plus.
