Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely and efficient delivery. This role is essential in maintaining smooth operations across shipping, receiving, and overall supply chain processes.

Duties

- Schedule and dispatch freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as SyteLine and AS400.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimize freight routes and delivery schedules.
- Monitor shipments from origin to destination, ensuring on-time delivery while managing any delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate data entry related to shipping & receiving, freight tracking, and inventory updates.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear and professional communication.
- Analyze shipping data to identify trends or inefficiencies and recommend improvements for supply chain processes.
- Oversee shipping & receiving activities,



ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Manage documentation related to freight, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs paperwork if applicable.
- Provide exceptional phone etiquette and customer service when interacting with clients or vendors regarding shipment inquiries.

Experience

- Proven experience in transportation management systems such as SyteLine or AS400 is preferred.
- Solid understanding of supply chain logistics, freight operations, and 3PL coordination.
- Experience with data entry, analysis skills, and managing shipping & receiving documentation.
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and effective communication skills are essential.
- Prior work involving freight coordination, shipping & receiving, or logistics is highly desirable.
- Excellent typing skills for efficient data entry and record keeping. This position offers an opportunity to play a vital role in our logistics team by ensuring seamless transportation operations through effective communication, system management, and analysis skills.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
