We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of packages, and maintaining effective communication with associates and clients. This position requires proficiency in transportation management systems and strong analytical skills to optimize supply chain operations.
Duties
- Manage daily dispatch operations, including scheduling and routing.
- Utilize transportation management systems to track and monitor delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with associates to provide updates on routes and any changes in schedules.
- Analyze to identify trends and improve efficiency in logistics operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Handle multi-line phone systems to address inquiries from stakeholders and associates promptly.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams and third-party logistics providers to streamline processes.
- Utilize software for managing dispatch information.
- Assist with generating reports and other administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a dispatcher role or similar position within the transportation industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems and supply chain processes is essential.
- Strong analysis skills to assess data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
- Proficient typing skills for effective data entry tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
