Responsibilities

- Coordinate and schedule freight pickups and deliveries using transportation management systems to ensure timely execution.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, carriers, and internal departments via multi-line phone systems and professional phone etiquette.
- Utilize supply chain knowledge to plan routes efficiently, considering delivery windows, driver hours, and freight priorities.
- Enter data accurately into systems such as AS400 and SyteLine to track shipments, shipping & receiving details, and inventory movements.
- Monitor shipping schedules and adjust plans proactively to address delays or issues, maintaining smooth operations.
- Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the freight network.
- Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities,



shipment statuses, and related documentation with precision and attention to detail.

Skills

- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) for scheduling and tracking shipments.
- Robust understanding of supply chain processes, logistics coordination, and third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships.
- Experience working with AS400 or SyteLine enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for data entry and reporting.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret freight data, identify trends, and recommend solutions.
- Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette for interacting with drivers, clients, and team members.
- Typing speed and accuracy for efficient data entry in multiple systems.
- Ability to manage multi-line phone systems while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with attention to detail for documentation accuracy.
