Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing care and support to dogs in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare, strong customer service skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

This position is hands on with significant amounts of cleaning and is essential in ensuring that all dogs receive the attention and care they deserve while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

- Feed and provide fresh water to all animals in the kennel.
- Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and equipment regularly.
- Monitor the health and behaviour of the dogs, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and exercising dogs as required.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with pet owners and addressing their inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and any incidents that occur.




- Assist in managing supplies and inventory related to animal care.

Requirements

- Experience with dogs and animal care is required. Veterinarian technician experience is a huge asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed for animal handling.
- Solid customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- A genuine love for dogs and a commitment to their well-being and an understanding of dog behaviour.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
