ASP .Net Developer

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

- Software Development & Design Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications and integrations.
- Produce clean, maintainable, secure, and scalable code following established standards and best practices.
- Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, refactor, and improve existing codebases.
- Testing & Quality
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and component tests.
- Ensure current and modified code meets team-established test coverage standards.
- Collaborate closely with QA Analysts to reduce defects and improve overall quality.
- Perform code reviews and incorporate feedback from peers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing and production support.
- DevOps & Delivery
- Participate in CI/CD processes and deployment activities.
- Contribute to build, release, and automation pipelines.
- Support production deployments, rollback strategies, and post-deployment validation.
- Monitor application health and assist with operational support when required.
- System Comprehension & Problem Solving
- Develop a strong understanding of application architecture, integrations, data flows, and dependencies.
- Investigate production and non-production issues using logs, monitoring tools, and debugging techniques.
- Analyze root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Assess technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and support procedures.
- Document configuration changes,



deployment processes, integrations, and environment-specific settings.
- Share knowledge with team members through code reviews, documentation, and collaborative sessions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and development standards.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, QA Analysts, Architects, and Operations teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Communicate progress, risks, blockers, and dependencies proactively.
- Contribute positively to team discussions and foster a collaborative working environment.

Required Qualifications

Education

- Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise business applications.

Technical Skills Experience with several of the following:

- C# / .NET Framework / .NET Core
- ASP.NET MVC and/or ASP.NET Core
- REST APIs, Web services, Broker Messaging, etc.
- Understanding of Distributed Systems
- SQL Server and relational databases
- JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
- Azure DevOps or similar DevOps platforms
- Git source control
- CI/CD pipelines
- Unit testing frameworks
- Object-oriented design principles
- Secure software development practices
- Preferred Experience
- Sitecore CMS
- LMS (Moodle), CRM (e.g. Aptify, Salesforce), or similar systems
- Identity and Authentication solutions (SSO, OAuth, OpenID Connect, Auth0)
- Integration development
- Enterprise application modernization initiatives
