DZ Truck Driver / Yard Worker – Scaffold Company

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking DZ Truck Driver to join our scaffold team. This is a hands-on position that involves more than just driving. You will be responsible for delivering and picking up scaffold equipment from job sites, assisting with loading and unloading, operating equipment, and helping with general yard duties.

A valid DZ licence is required for this position.

Experience operating a Moffett, telehandler, or boom is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate on the Moffett and boom equipment.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working outdoors, physically capable of handling scaffold material, and willing to jump in and help the team wherever needed.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate DZ trucks to deliver and pick up scaffold equipment and materials
- Load and unload trucks using a Moffett and/or telehandler
- Operate equipment safely in the yard and on job sites
- Properly secure scaffold loads for transportation
- Assist with manual loading, unloading, and heavy lifting when required
- Sort, stack, organize, and move scaffold equipment in the yard
- Assist with general yard duties when not making deliveries
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections
- Keep trucks, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
- Communicate with supervisors, yard staff, and job-site crews regarding deliveries and pickups

Qualifications

- Valid DZ driver's licence – REQUIRED
- Clean driver's abstract and safe driving record
- Previous commercial truck driving experience preferred
- Moffett experience is an asset – training can be provided
- Boom experience is an asset – training can be provided
- Telehandler experience is an asset
- Experience hauling scaffolding, construction materials, or similar equipment is an asset
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of regular heavy lifting and handling scaffold material
- Willing to work in the yard and assist with loading, unloading, and organizing equipment
- Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and hardworking
- Able to work independently and as part of a team

The Right Person for This Job This is not a driving-only position. We are looking for someone who is willing to get out of the truck, help load and unload scaffold material, operate equipment, and work alongside our yard and site crews when needed.

DZ is required, but don't let a lack of Moffett or boom experience stop you from applying. We are willing to train the right person.
