Required Skills

- Patient, fun, kind, flexible and energetic
- Able to plan and facilitate activities designed for young children in a play-based learning environment
- Able to develop and maintain positive working relationship with co-workers, children and their families.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrate solid understanding of early child development and able to articulate knowledge to parents/caregivers in a non-judgmental and diplomatic way
- Very good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Qualifications

Basic ECE

Additional Qualifications

- Early Childhood Educator Certificate
- ECE Diploma would be considered an asset




- Infant/Toddler qualification/experience would be considered an asset

Required Experience

Minimum of two years’ experience in licensed child care or StrongStart programs

Preferred Skills & Experience

- Training in the Early Learning Framework
- Experience with nature-based early learning and literacy

Salary & Benefits

Starting at $28.00 per hour, plus benefits available after successful completion of probationary period.

Additional Information

- Current ECE certificate to practice
- Current clear criminal records check is a hiring requirement
- Valid first aid certificate is a hiring requirement
